4 complementary type of cards
to choose & build your strategies from

Character Card

Manifestations of lost souls — hybrids of species and class who fight in your name. Each bears unique stats, skills, and fate.

Deploy them to the battlefield. Protect them — or sacrifice them for victory.

Gear Card

Weapons, armor, relics, and forbidden technology. Gear amplifies your Characters’ abilities or grants entirely new powers, but at an Energy cost.

Attach before battle for power, or mid-fight for survival.

Action Card

One-shot bursts of will. Actions bend the flow of battle, striking, healing, shielding, or reshaping the field for a moment.

Played instantly. Burn bright, vanish fast.

Resource Card

The remnants of a ruined world: Iron, Crystal Essence, Stone, and Wood. Shared between both players, they fuel construction, repair, and weaponry.

Draw wisely — every resource taken raises the cost for both sides.

Combine species and classes.
Equip gear.
Master synergy.

FAQ

FAQ

Here are some answers
to most questions.

What is Souls of Kafka?

Souls of Kafka is a real-time strategy card game where players command Avatars — echoes of lost souls — and battle across collapsing battlefields. Every second, energy flows, walls decay, and chaos spreads.

How is it different from other card games?

We bring the RPG unviserve to Card Games; SoK cards are evolving and they can be fused to a specific Character Card.

What types of cards exist in Souls of Kafka?

There are four main card types: • Character Cards — fighters with species, class, and skills. • Gear Cards — weapons, armor, relics. • Action Cards — instant one-use effects. • Resource Cards — materials shared by both players to build, repair, or fire heavy weapons.

Who or what is my Avatar?

Your Avatar is your soul given form — a persistent entity that grows through battles. It has Health, Energy, Essence Power, and Influence stats that evolve as you level up, shaping your entire play style.

How do battles work?

You deploy characters to five frontline slots while protecting rear cards behind a castle wall. When the wall falls, everything is exposed. Matches last about 1½ to 2 minutes before total collapse — so speed and adaptability decide victory.

What is “Wall Decay” and “Battlefield Collapse”?

After 90 seconds, both castle walls begin to crumble. At 120 seconds, the entire battlefield ignites, dealing damage to every unit and Avatar each second. No match drags on — it ends in fire or triumph.

How does Energy work?

Every card and action costs Energy. Your Avatar regenerates it over time. Drawing from the shared Resource piles raises the Energy cost for both players, creating a live tug-of-war for power.

Can monsters appear during battle?

Yes. Neutral monsters spawn randomly between 45 – 90 seconds. Defeating one grants temporary buffs, extra resources, or rare card rewards — but they attack both sides, so risk is real.

Does the game connect to Kafka Effect and Giving Back?

Yes — Souls of Kafka is the prequel to Kafka Effect. It introduces core species, lore, and mechanics. Players who participate will earn early bonuses and Golden Hearts, linking in-game achievement to real-world verified impact through the Giving Back ecosystem.
